Laurel has been singing since she could speak. Laurel had the privilege to study voice with the amazing Jazz vocalist Cheryl Hodge and Laura Landsberg at Selkirk Music School, as well has taken Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetri Method Level 1 . She has fronted bands such as Groove Candy, Exession, Liquid Sky Beyond Control, Poets & Saints, & LuLu & The Funaddicts.
She has sung in many venues from coast to coast, has opened up for such bands as 54/40, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Lillix and has sung backups for Kenny Blues Boss Wayne.
Laurel is a singer /songwriter who is a powerhouse with a sultry smooth edge, singing Rock, Blues, Jazz, RnB, Soul, and Country styles that help her colour outside of the lines in music.
Laurel teaches CCM (Contemporary Commercial Music) styles soul, RnB, Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Theatre, Folk & Etc. Based in Nelson B.C. Canada She uses Authentic Functional Voice & Somatic Voicework™ Methods focusing on healthy authentic singing in her vocal Instruction. both private & group lessons, classes, and workshops
